i realize this lens is full frame capable , but i dont see many people use this lens ,
anyone had experience with this lens ?

yeah, adam..thanks for the link .. i aware that

i just want to know, why not many people using this lens considered this is a full frame lens and the price also not different with pentax DA 12-24
is the IQ too bad ? cause according to this review, the result is also not so far compare the other UWA lens,
even the scores is highest

The reason why is that at present all pentax DSLR cameras use APS-C format sensors (23.5X 15.6mm) sensors there isn't much point in spending money on a lens that is capable of covering a Full frame (36X24mm) sensor when you when you can have a smaller lens that is properly suited to a smaller sensor.

I've have the Sigma 12-24 for many manyy years, first on my MZ-5 now I still use it on my Dslrs, I have also bought (and sold ) the 10-20mm and I still have the 8-16, but I still prefer the image of the 12mm over what comes out of the 8-16. I have thought about updating to the new 12-24 hsm, if I had the cash.

like previeously i said , couple years ago, perhaps sigma is more expensive than pentax DA 12-24 , but now seem the price is little bit low, considering sigma will continue to make this lens in HSM II version
