My Jupiter 9 can be seen in this Marketplace link and I wonder if it looks like the lens you guys show on this thread
The lens barrel and rings looks the same as the current version with the exception that the current version is inscribed "MC Jupiter 9"

Thanks for the post, I also purchased a copy of Jupiter9 from marketplace a couple of months ago. I have not had a chance to play with the lens. Mine is a M42 lens and I am thinking of converting it to a K mount lens by adding a 3rd party M42 to K mount adapter + a drilled hole to receive the locking pin from K body with procedures that I did before on a similar M42->K conversion

Congratulations on your purchase, hopefully it will be all right.
I did the same with mine by using a small file on the corner of the base of the lens. I used white colored text correcter to mark the mount pin instead of a pastel.
The lens that you bought seems to be the non multicoated verstion as mine says MC infront of Jupiter-9 (MC JUPITER-9 2/85 Lens).
I am currently waiting for a macro extension tube to experiment with the Jupiter-9, as I have seen some nice photos with it.
