is the built-in lens hood on 77 enough ?

recently bought this lens, the lens hood is beautiful , pulls out, etc, is it long enough or should i add a longer hood, or just use this built-in one ?

The hoods for the FAs were designed for 35mm film, and thus are designed to prevent stray light from affecting a full-frame image. They should do fine on an APS-C sensor, but you can also get more protection with a longer hood without causing vignetting. I don't have the FA77 (yet), but I use a longer hood on the FA43 and a number of step-down rings on the FA31.

So far every time I've encountered lens flare with my FA77 when the built-in hood wasn't enough (which is pretty rarely) and I've added a separate lens hood I end up with essentially the same lens flare.

In other words, I've only encountered lens flare with the FA77 when I was shooting directly (or almost directly) into a light ... and even after adding a different hood I still got flare. The built-in hood works fine.

...and are barely adequate for that if you consider the FOV. I have used heavystar's (ebay) metal "tele" hood on my FA 77 with good success. All that being said JJJPhoto's comment above is pertinent. To be honest, I can't remember ever having flare issues (except when pointed directly at the sun) with my FA 77 regardless of what hood was mounted.
