What filter do you use the most?

In the age of photoshop, not including protective filters do you use the most and why?

All answers welcomed!

Thanks everyone

Randy

I don't really use filters but in rare occasions I do use CPL or ND.

As for film, B&W, I mostly use yellow filters.

I use Polarising filter the most, for blue sky with clouds (to enhance them, but shall be done in PP too), then to cut reflections while shooting water….

I have only the limited lens…so 49 mm (relatively cheap)

6 stop and 10 stop ND, I am planning to buy for “that” long exposure shots!!

Mostly I use CPL's. Occasionally I'll go to my Cokin filters for GND or ND effects.

I use polarizers some times, they have effects that you cannot get just by post processing. ND and graduated ND filters can also be useful, but I don't feel a need for them, because of the kind of photography I usually do. Im sure they are very useful for some other photographers

CPL only. I have a Cokin set, but it rarely goes into my field bag anymore. Likewise I rarely mount my protective UV filters either.

ND when I want a slower shutter speed.
UV when I'm more concerned with lens protection than with IQ.
CPL when there are undesired reflections.

I sometimes use a polarizing filter to get bluer skies or get rid of reflections in the water.
I also sometimes use a gradient filter for capturing things like sunsets where there is a large difference in the brightness from one side of the image to the other.

I use a CPL for most of my landscape shots not involving moving water; with moving water, I usually turn to one of my ND filters.
