28mm with A setting: Recommendations?

Hi, I'm looking for a cheap 28mm to play around with, but there are so many to choose from!

By cheap, I mean <=$50. All I need is an A setting on the apeture ring. I don't care about autofocus, or the lack thereof.

I found one on KEH, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. They have an annoying habit of labeling anything that's not Sigma, Tamron, or Pentax as "MISCELLANEOUS BRAND." All I know is that it's a 28mm f/2.8 with an A setting and a 49 filter thread. It also says "MACRO." No image is available. Price is $49. I'm hoping it's the Vivitar 28mm Close Focus, but that might be too much to hope for for $49.

A 24mm would be cool, too, but they seem much harder to find, and much more expensive.

Any ideas?

There are a number of Vivitars that aren't as highly praised as the Komine close focus one. I briefly had a Cosina that seemed pretty good. The Sigma Mini-Wide II fits in your price range, never used it. There are Takumar-A 28/2.8s which look like the same optical formula as the Pentax-A but cheaper coatings. (One of the lenses I see at KEH looks like the Takumar-A.) I have a Tokina EL which is not that popular but I think works pretty well. I can sell you that one. All the ones I can think of probably have issues with flare to some extent.

Following at B&H will be close to your price point.

Although more for the first lens--if you plan on getting both the 28 and 24mm eventually--adaptall-2 lenses are cheap and good ( I have the 24mm f2.5), but you will need the PKA adapter--which is generally about $50. [I bought 2, one at B&H and one ay KEH for this.) So you are looking at maybe $125. for both lenses (KEH BGN) and the adapter.

avoid the sigma Mini Wide II with KA mount, they are cheap and exhibit an abnormal amount of lateral CA not just in out of focus regions but in the focus plane also. it can be fixed with lateral CA tools that rescale the separate color layers but it is not worth it
