Please recommend in the 50mm - 70mm range

I seem to have a hole in my bag. I don't have anything which covers between 50 and 70mm. Could anyone here recommend some good ones in that range?

FA50/1.4 is a very under rated lens that's relatively cheap.

Thanks, perhaps I should have said 51mm - 70mm.
Also, as to budget, I don't think it is too much of a concern. I will want to have this range, so eventually will. I would likely prefer to find some legacy (cheaper) lenses, but I would buy something new.
As to what I have, I am trying to copy it from my 'about me' into my signature, like old whatsisname.

If you're looking for a prime, seems like the options would be:

K 55/1.8
Da* 55/1.4
Voigtlander Nokton 58/1.4

Haven't used any of them myself, but I'm sure others can comment. All would seem to fill the FL hole between your K 50/1.2 and the wide end of your Tamron 70-200/2.8 nicely (though it isn't that big of a hole).

Based on what you have, just get the DA 70 or FA 77 and be done with it. I'd lean toward 70 as it fits better between 50 and 90.

There is too much lens info clutter in your sig :-)

+1 for the Voigtlander Nokton 58/1.4. I have it and it is a great lens.

See a subjective comparison between FA31mm and VL58mm:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/209251-fa31mm-...mm-f1-4-a.html

The VL58mm is a MF lens with great IQ. I shoot a lot outdoor. When the weather is not great (fogg, smoke, hazy), the VL58 shines and can deliver great shots. Further the lens is a tank, extremely solid. The lens is fast (f1.4), and it delivers great pictures both in nomal lighting and in low light.

The VL58mm is not longer manufactured, but it can regularly be found on the 2nd hans marker (PF marketplace, Adorama Used).

Among my own lenses, I put the VL58mm as very, very close to the FA31mm without the price tag.

Hope that the comment may help.

One obvious choice for something new, between 50 and 70, and where budget is not an issue, is the DA*55. I suspect you knew that all along, and just want someone to validate your emotions.

Well, I will be happy to do that. It is one of my favorite lenses. I don't have any hard numbers, but I'll just say that the images it produces are somewhere between the "artistic" rendering of the FA31 and the clinical sharpness of the DA40 and D-FA100. Somehow, the DA*55 seems to strike a really good balance. There should be some threads dedicated to it if I recall correctly. Personally I find it is almost impossible to take a bad shot with it.

The SDM is a little slow so it is not the best lens for action shots, I guess. I don't do any of that though.

+1 for VL 58/1.4 if you don't mind manual focus.

F 35-70 is great choice if you are looking cheap but very capable.

DA70 is a fine lens - small, well-built, sharp as heck. Sigma's 70 macro is even sharper, but big.
