Actually I find these posts of sweet deals on eBay counterproductive as they lead either to one or two outcomes:

1) more people viewing the eBay listing which leads to even more frenzied bidding.
This doesn't help, especially if you're seriously aiming to bid for the item yourself and you find more people suddenly interested in bidding and pushing the bid price up.
2) plenty of regret because we're often too late to bid and we're kicking ourselves for missing it.

My suggestion about the next sweet eBay you guys come across is to...
keep it to yourself and don't tell the whole world about it. You could be doing yourself a favour by getting it cheaper without more people being aware of the listing.

Huh? Creampuff-

These were Buy-it-Now auctions with opening bid being the set price, so your reasons to not post don't apply here...

Then my point 2 applies - just too late to catch it

I would have liked to be on time for the 50-135, but I'd have to add up my pennies first. In any case, I like seeing these posts even with being late to buy. It indicates where the price stands on these deals and until I buy, I want to know.

As Tom said They were BIN deals. So that's why I posted it. beleive me if I had the money for the 77mm, I would have bought it first and then posted the thread. At prices like these, if you found them before I did and hesitated, well somebody was going to grab them, why not here?

It's a free market buddy, deal with it.

I for one love people sharing nice deals like this. I would have loved to get one of these lenses (the 21 or the 50-135), but was too late for both. Maybe next time.

Thanks, Peter for posting this!

Wendy if you have a problem with creampuff on ebay then take it up on ebay, not here.. I don't want to close the thread, but will if this continues..

Thank you moderators.
For the record, I have never had any dealings on eBay with the said individual and I maintain a 100% positive feedback for more than 100 transactions done.
