This is very sad to hear and hits me to the quick, being just about the same age. What an amazing collection gplr63 assembled. If I could, I think I'd go to France if only to see all of these in one place.
Too bad there's no Pentax Museum to give these a home. I think a lot of us would travel to see that collection. We need to start a crowd funding drive for a Pentax Forum collection.

What's up with those estimates? Or am I reading this wrongly?

K50/1.2: 30-40€
FA50/1.4: 40-60€
A50/1.2: 60-80€

And it's getting worse A*85/1.4: 100-150€

Yes, please. All of them for these prices.
No, you aren't reading wrongly. Many estimates are totally off. Other examples:

#16
PENTAX-FA* 1:1.4 85mm IF
Est.: €300-400

#42
SMC PENTAX-A* 135mm F1.8
Est.: €100-150

#47
16 PENTAX lenses in their leather pouch
Est.: €100-200
(16 FA Limited lenses including at least two 31mm f/1.8!)

#51
SMC PENTAX-FA* 1:4 200mm MACRO IF & ED
Est.: €80-100

Riom, the town in which the auction will take place, is a small town (population = 18,800) in Auvergne in central France. It might be that the auctioneer had some friends who would be interested in paying the smallest amount possible...

I know, right. Think the FA*200 was only a 100 euros.

Too bad it's not an online auction. Those estimates are way too under priced.

You can bid online during the auction via the interencheres.com website.

The link given in my own message explains how it works. In particular you have to register ahead of the auction, provide ID and bank details and more.

Thanks, Mistral75. That should help increase the prices to a more reasonable level. Since the funds are going to help care for gplr63, I'd hate to see him get taken advantage of by basically giving his gear away.

the really sad thing to reflect upon here is something all of us will face at some point.

who will want our "stuff" when it is our time?

what will your descendants do with your photo gear when you no longer can use it? will they want it, or even appreciate the value of it?

Ya, it's sad but with photography, even understanding what the stuff that's been left to you is for, and how you'd use it means a considerable effort just to know whether fact it's something you'd use.

All tools are pretty much the same. The perceived value increases with your ability to make use of it.

An amazing collection, no doubt. I hope the money raised by the auction serves to take care of the owner, and I also hope he/she is doing OK...

BTW, some of the items look like they might have been stored in suboptimal conditions (e.g. this A* 200mm). I might be tempted to bid on a few items, but if you look at the conditions de vente, the shipping of items looks complicated...

Sad epilogue: gplr63, the owner of this collection, is now 62 and his gear will be auctioned next week at the request of the 'juge des tutelles' (a judge who manages the life of adult persons who can't take care of themselves any more).

appareils photos neufs et téléobjectifs, cartes magics, vente aux enchères, le jeudi 15 novembre 2018 à Riom | Interencheres.com
The auction will begin in a bit more than two hours. Gold coins and some pieces of equipment (bags, TVs, LCD screens, microscopes, an oscilloscope and more) have been added to the items auctioned. Here is the new link:

Almost never, I would say. gplr63, the owner of this collection, is severely disabled. His pleasure was to collect since he couldn't use. (any more?)

He is the guy with a black cap on the left of this picture taken in 2010.
