How does the Sigma 150-500 OS work in the Pentax mount?

How does the Sigma 150-500 OS system work in the Pentax mount?

I have a K-5 with the shake reduction in the body ? Do I shut the body's SR off when using the OS on the Sigma lens ?

Does the HSM AF work with my K10D and K-m (K2000) bodies ? I know it works with my K-5 body.

You can use either the lens's stabilization or the one in the camera. It's up to you, though it's probably easiest just to switch with the one in the camera. There are plenty of threads that compare the two if you'd like to read more.

As for HSM, it will work with both your cameras as long as your K10D has firmware >= v1.30

Thank you very much Adam.

Exactly the info I was looking for. I've ordered a Sigma 150-500.

I always use the body SR with the lens OS off. It simplifies things a bit. If you have the OS on, the viewfinder will be stabilized, however. Last time out I thought I was doing a remarkable job bracing the camera, only to find both systems were on, which results in not so good shots as the systems battle each other...

As a very new owner of a Sigma 150-500 myself, I haven't even tried the lens OS yet.
I will but from reprots here and there, I might just use the K5 SR .... seems "more natural" to me.
