I don't really know about these lenses, but I ran across this ad on Craigslist.
Is this a good deal? it looks to be genuine and not buffed out to zebra look.

This auto-tak 55/1.8 'Zebra" was the only true 50 to 55mm "'Zebra" that Asahi Optical ever released and it was the standard lens on the Asahi Optical K body. I have 2 of these lenses. 1 came with my K the other I got elsewhere. The lens in the first post is a Super-Multi-Coated Tak and that can be read on the face plate which indicates its an altered lens.

BTW, that is a good deal on that lens if it isn't scratched up or farming fungus.

Almost. Not to be picky but there was a zebra 55mm f1.9. That was sold as standard lens on the Tower 29.

But good luck finding one..

There were no "Zebra" Super-Tak lenses. Asahi made very few even prior to the Super-Taks.

Goes to show the value of the Pentax Forum. I saw that thing on Ebay, and I was interested. Googled "Pentax Zebra Lens," and was directed to this thread. Saved me some heartache. Thanks guys!

Seems like that ebay seller is taking this as a business, he has a couple items like this. Maybe if everyone with an ebay account writes some feedback.. because this is basically a scam. You get a regular lens, which was modified (damaged, I would say) instead of a "collector's item".
