Hoya HD vs HD2

Just about to purchase the Hoya HD UV 67mm and noticed the HD2. What's the difference? I'll be using a 50-135mm near the ocean, instead of wiping it's lens I'd rather wipe clean a filter.

I would imagine that more advanced coatings are involved, and possibly more hardened glass. Unless there's a difference in price, I'd go with the HD2.

Sorry, can't help you. There are so many different filter designations available now its impossible to keep track. Hope it works out for you, have fun at the beach
