Tamron 17-50mm for 352$ on Amazon

Looks like a really good deal. Is anything wrong with it?

Nothing I can see other than it ships from Japan and will take 12-16 days to be received in the US from what they say in their shipping section.

Does It have a valid US warranty? I'm not sure Tamron US will honor warranty on grey-market items.
Tamron USA will NOT honor the warranty on items sold from outside the US. Been there, done that, have the scars.

Yea, on E-bay i can get it for 330$ - no freight charges from JP. What about customs fee? Does anybody know how much fee I have to pay for 330$ lens?

Have to specify country - from your profile you're in Canada. I have no idea but can tell you that I've never paid duty on anything coming into the US with EMS but have on EVERY item that came in via courier (FedEx is the worst IMHO for garbage add on fees). So, when I have the choice from the seller I choose EMS whenever possible.

Thank you all guys for replies.
Actually I am going to order it to an address in US. It always much cheaper, than get anything to Canada.

Same problem here when you import into UK, UPS are just as bad too.

I would search for focus problems with this lens and consider what you find very carefully before buying one, especially if there is any chance you will not have a warranty.

This lens is notorious for focus problems on almost all brands.

You have been warned.
