On-line vs phone pricing

A few months back it was being said that you could get a better deal by calling than you get on-line. Is this still true? I'm interested in a DA* 300, B&H is out, Adorama has it in stock, and right now it is actually cheaper on-line at the Pentax Webstore, oddly enough.

Some lenses are cheaper, others aren't. However, the in-store prices have gone up compared to the pre-UPP prices.

KEH has some too; it's believed most of these lenses came from extra stock at Pentax US in Denver.

I would call. You are not under an obligation to buy just because you called.

To follow up, when I originally posted I was a Friday night, I had called and they were closed, I had wanted to compare to the KEH deals. I have called since called Adorama and it is $1299 over the phone, or $98 cheaper than online.
