50-135, K5ii and TC?

Just ordered a K5ii and am probably going to go with a 50-135 (if not that, the 60-250). From what I've seen the 50-135 with a TC is slow to focus in low light, but does the K5ii's improved AF solve that?

Even without using a TC, I would recommend the 60-250 over the 50-135. Since getting the former, I honestly have not touched the 50-135. There are many that sing its praises, however if I had to choose one, it would be the 60-250 100% of the time. And then the fact that you are considering using a TC on it makes the 60-250 a no-brainer.

Just my experience with both lenses.

Many of the TCs do not work and play well with SDM. Those that do are a fortune because they are not in production any longer.

Whatever lens you order, don't think about TC, unless you somehow get a copy of the Pentax 1.7X AFA.

The Tamron 1.4X TC does not work well with SDM zoom lenses at the long end. It hunts a lot. I tried 3 different copies of the Tamron 1.4X and gave up after I got a Pentax 1.7X AFA.

None of the current 2X TC works with SDM zoom lenses.
