Pentax-F 28mm 2.8

Has anyone else notice the number of F-28's on the big auction site lately?

I counted 5 this evening...and no, none are mine.

Yeah, when I was looking for one I think I waited over 6 weeks for ONE to show up. Now we've got 5? I guess it is just coincidence but it is still weird.

It is strange for so many of this relatively rare and sought-after lens to be on eBay at the same time... one person's loss is another person's gain! Whether you're preparing for FF or not, the F-28mm is a worthy addition to any lens kit, especially if you can get it at a reasonable cost.

Well that's nice. I was going to put mine up for sale sometime this weekend after I took nice pictures of it since it's been supplanted by my Tamron 17-50. Perhaps some spring cleaning? Guess I might wait until the market settles a bit. :-/

I suspect that when any more news of the mythical Pentax FF camera comes out, interest will skyrocket on it.

It is indeed a fine lens though. It's a great "normal" length on APS-C, and delivers tack sharpness from edge to edge to edge.

Agreed!!! Pentax should release a DA version of the F 28mm like the DA 50 f/1.8 and DA 35 f/2.4 were reworks of earlier F/FA lenses... It would sell like hotcakes! The 28mm just gives a bit wider field of view compared to 35mm that makes it an ideal "normal" on APS-C. And it would be an excellent lightweight wide angle for FF.
