Sigma 18-200

The lens is on sale now for about $150 less than the Tamron/Pentax 18-250. Just wondering if it's worth the money, or should I just save up for the 18-250? Any ideas, or anyone with experience with the Sigma?

I do not have the lenses in question, but after reading reviews it looks like the newer Pentax/Tamron 18-250mm deliveres better image quality than Sigma or older Tamron 18-200mm. You can search the internet for reviews (photodo, photozone, dpreview, etc).

What is your current setup and why do you want to go with superzoom?

Using the K100D Super with the stock 18-55, and figured the superzoom would be a good way to go for travelling. (Carry 1 lens).

I also have the kit lens plus another 70-300mm zoom. I actually use the other zoom more than the kit lens which in my opinion just does not have enough range. Couple of weeks ago I had briefly the 28-200 zoom and I liked the range. But for my setup I am just going to replace the kit lens with Sigma 17-70mm which is going to give me 17-300 coverage combined with the other zoom. But in your case the superzoom as replacement for the kit lens might be a good idea.
