Tamron SP 24-135

I recently bought this lens to use as a walkabout while on vacation.
Heavy but very well built and a useful range with very little distortion at either end.
With both my *istD and K100D it consistently overexposes between 0.7 and 1.0 stop.
Has any one had any experience with this lens?
What would be better? Use exposure compensation or a ND filter (if that is possible)?

what mount are you using?

At one point, I believe early tamron AE mounts were limited to F4, I think it was only adaptall2 that could give F2.8

Also how are you metering

This lens has a pentax mount --- KAF I think. It auto focuses OK. Exposure TTL
Tried using all exposure metering modes -- same result everytime.
It is a full frame lens.

I love it but I just bought the 50-135 and if this one sells then my wallet wont be in the hospital too long. with the 24-135 i like using Aperture Priority and -.3- .7 EV compensation. its really a great lens, use of an ND filter could hinder IQ...

enjoy!
