DA 40mm LTD help..

hi everyone..

hope this isnt a stupid question..

i just got my da 40mm ltd today. been having lots of fun with it. i was wondering though, does the green ring move? like is it supposed to? cos mine does i think..

No it doesn't move. The only control surface is the focusing ring.

I would assume the green ring is painted on? That's really strange that it would move. Maybe try screwing it on tightly?

it moves a little when i use the focus ring sometimes. if it is really painted on i think LBA has brought on paranoia.

I once received a ltd lens that had a loose (it could wiggle side to side) panel. If I recall correctly, it was the ring with the focal length on it. If your lens has this issue too, I'd get it exchanged.

I don't think there's a ring for the focal length on the 40mm right?

Now I need help with my DA40. I was going to see how mine looks re. rings and loose fittings ... and I cannot find it man that's a small lens!
Definitely agree though, if something is loose other than focus ring and aperture lever, I'd talk to the seller fast.

Found it later, under a chair. Whew. No play in ring or other segments.
