I keep falling in and out of love with all my lenses. They surprise me with dazzling results sometimes; then are just ordinary, being problematic to focus, or giving lack of detail other times. ...of course the problem is this goofball behind the viewfinder that doesn't understand the conditions and parameters where each is at its optimum and where/when not; too much to remember.

1) I guess the voigtlander 125mm f/2.5 APO-Lanthar Macro is #1 ... a tad wider would be great. The long fast Sigma I have never fails to impress when I pull it out tho. They're both the most consistent in providing special results.

2) based on my caveat above about my fav being a bit wider being 'good' I guess I should lust after the FA* 85mm f/1.4 ... I guess I do! :ugh: The K 8.4/2.8 Bird's-Eye / Fish-Eye is intriguing; dunno if it would work on digital tho (might be too much reflection from the sensor) ... but I guess for real world practicality it would have to be one Sigma hasn't seen fit to give us ... the 120-300mm f/2.8 (instead of my 300 prime), or better yet a weather sealed Pentax DA* of a similar speed and focal length (I'm not holding my breath). That would make me the happiest and would probably be close to my most used lens.

1) hard to say, split between DA18-55 and Sigma 10-20
2) 17-70 f2.8 throughout the range... Hopefully somebody will materialize it one day soon

DA* 50-135 without a doubt. Followed by something fast & long.....Tom Lusk's 300mm f4 perhaps?.....wonder if his skill comes with it?

PS: Thats my dream by the way!!! not reality.
Favourite current lens is a close call between DFA 100mm & Sigma EX DG 24 f1.8......Sigma by a bees whisker.

Hmmm... it seems that so far, the most lusted-for lens is the 85/1.4... btw, I saw two 85/1.4 lenses in the pentax lens database... which of the two are you guys talking about?

As for favorites, the 31mm, sigma 10-20 and tamron 28-75 come up quite often

Both A and FA 85/1.4 are excellent lenses. Optically they are somehow different, but they are all very sharp lens w/ creamy smooth bokeh. I'd say the FA*85/1.4 is probably one of the best AF lenses ever made by Pentax, same goes to the A*85/1.4 as in MF lenses

1. Split between Sigma 10-20mm and Sigma 24-70 F2.8 EX DG Macro

2. Split between 85mm FA* and 77mm Ltd (although the 70mm Ltd looks excellent as well)

So many great lenses, so many choices.......:-)

Hmmm ... here goes:

Favourite lens : Tamron 90 SP Macro f/2.8 ... it's a sweet lens indeed.
Dream Lens : This is a hard one ... I have a few in mind ... it'll either be the FA31 Ltd or the DA*50-135mm
