grats, it's a lovely lens. I just had a field trip with it to local rose garden and was pleased with the results.

Tamron 90 is better!

j/k

Having read tons of reviews now, it seems like all of the 90-105mm macro lenses more or less share the same level of sharpness.

And yes, dayum! is what I felt too. Enjoy!

Ok, here are some that I *just* took.
I grabbed my ring-light and headed out to the patio to see what I could see.

Gross pics, but anyhow I share your enthusiasm. This thing just cannot take a soft image, short of deliberately missfocussing. (Even there, the narrow FOV helps nail the focus target. ) It's the sharpest of all my primes (15, 21, 31, 40's, 50's, 55, and 100), by a large margin, at all apertures.

On that subject, the only bad thing I have to say about the lens is the long focus throw without the range limiter, where the AF can get fooled and cycle through the whole range. It's a very minor issue to me but feel compelled to acknowledge it because I know it bugs some others.

Yeah, I'm not a big *bug* fan, but they were small and *there* so they got their picture taken!

I'm jealous- I'm saving up for the DFA100 WR at the moment, hoping the price doesn't go up!
Its the perfect gap filler for me getting a macro and telephoto prime for my K7 and will be an excellent ultra macro/long tele lens for the Q! B)
