Best Circular Polarizer Value?

Howdy-

I need to buy a 62mm circular polarizer for an upcoming vacation and was wondering which one now represent a good value for the money. Any suggestions? I'd like a fairly thin one, I think.

Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this.

Thanks.

I prefer the Marumi filters myself. Their Super DHG filters wipe clean more easily than any other filter I have owned.
Amazon.com: Marumi 62mm 62 Super DHG MC CPL PL.D Slim Thin Filter Japan: Camera & Photo

If you specifically need a slim filter than here is a Marumi:
Amazon.com: Marumi DHG MC CPL PL (D) 62mm 62 Slim Thin Filter Digital High Grade Japan: Camera & Photo

There's a thread here where CPLs are discussed:

There are many other threads if you use the search function.

+1 for the marumis SUPER DHG (the "super" part is like the SP coating on pentax lens)

Although I don't have experience with Marumis like Docrwm, a lot of online reviews seem to indicate they are exactly what you're looking for: good quality and reasonable price tag. I'm not in a position to buy new gear right now, but I'm inclined to try the Marumi brand some time in the future. One thing about Marumi; they don't seem to do very much advertising, making them a well kept secret (as I see it, anyway). Perhaps the lack of advertising helps keep the prices down?

Also, the Hoya/Kenko Pro 1 Digital line are worth considering. I have a Pro 1 Digital CPL for the odd occasion when I'm using my DA 18-55mm. Again - good quality and reasonably priced, although I suspect the Marumis are actually better. The Hoyas fall short of B+W quality, but still good. Some people have complained the Pro 1 Digitals are hard to clean, and I can confirm this issue with a P1D UV filter I have. My CPL, however, does not seen to be afflicted with this problem.

Looks like you already took this advice, but I've had good luck with the Murami CPL as well.

Filter Size?

Hello Fabio, welcome to the Forum!
According to our lens reviews, the filter size on the DA 18-135mm is 62mm. This is the size you'll need for any filter, including a circular Polarizer (CPL).
I'll add a + 1 for Marumi's, they offer the best price/performance/quality ratio, imo.

I also give a vote for the Marumi Super DHG CPL.
I bought mine from 2filter and can commend their excellent service.
