I still have the KX and K50/1.4 from1977. I also have the MESuper I bought in 1984, but not the M50/1.4, which I sold in the guilt-ridden week of "Way too many 50's" drama.

I'm nearing another outburst of anti-LBA angst.

I've got no idea what happened to my first camera.
A Hanimex 110F given to me for Christmas when I was about 6 y.o. The only settings on it were with 2 sliding switches. Aperture : "Cloudy" or "Sunny" and Flash : "ON" or "OFF"
My first Pentax SLR that I bought myself, a Z-10 is in a box in the garage somewhere.

My Dad recently gave me his old Spotmatic (1967 ?) w/ 55mm 1.8 Tak which I learnt to use when i was a kid.

He also gave me his 1958 Agfa Silette rangfinder with the "Vario" (max 1/200s) shutter and the "Agnar"(triplet) 45mm f3.5 lens.
Mum & Dad used this camera to take a few thousand colour slides in Europe when they lived there in the mid 60's.
Tonight, I've just dropped them at airport as they're going to the UK and Norway for a couple of months to retrace their favourite parts of their journeys nearly 50 years ago.

Anyway the Agfa's lens needs a bit of a clean but everything seems to work so I might run a roll through it this weekend just for fun.

I've just downloaded the pdf scan of the Agfa's user manual, having a good laugh reading it.

The D5000 and 18-55 which I started on have been sold to a friend. Remaining are a Tamron 70-300 VC USD and Nikon 75-150 in Nikon mount (to be sold as soon as possible), a Praktica PLC3 and its CZJ 50/1.8, a 28mm, 35mm and 135mm in m42 mount, and of course the K-5II and 18-135.

I started out with a new Centon DF-300.
I still have it along with the 50mm/1.8 and 70-210/4-5.6 and a Centon FG20 flash.
I use the flash occasionally.
The Centon is a good camera, but the frame indicator is stuck on "0".

A few years after buying the Centon, I bought a new Canon eos 50e, Tamron 28-80 and Sigma 28-300.
Recently sold the Sigma lens in mint condition for £175.

My first SLR was a Pentax P3n with an A50/2, somewhere around 1990. My parents bought me a Takumar-A 70-200/4 zoom for it. I found a classified ad in a newspaper for a Pentax P3, A50/1.7 and Sigma 35-70mm f3.5-4.5 zoom. I made a deal with my dad to sell him the P3 and A50/2. At some point I got a Vivitar 550D flash. I used the A50/1.7, Sigma and Takumar until 2005 when I dropped the camera and Sigma lens. The rear element fell off the lens. When I was figuring this out, I found out that Pentax had DSLRs. I spent so much time talking about it, my wife bought me one.

I still have the P3n but it needs exercise before consistently advancing the film. I sold the A50/1.7 at some point. My dad still has the original A50/2 somewhere. I have the Takumar zoom too.

Film or digital? Film = Minolta SRT MC-II with a Rokkor 50/1.7 and a bad JCPenny 28/2.8 that I brought to France. My Pentax film stuff was given to my sister and it later disappeared. Digital = a new (then) K110D with the 18-55 which I still have to start off again in Pentax.

My first Pentax was a K1000 like this one I found in France ... lots of good memories using the K1000 back in high school ... J

I'd been interested in photography for much of the 90's, but always figured film would be too frustrating for me and my short attention span to learn anything from. So I waited and saved for a good digital camera with interchangeable lenses. So, I ended up with a Canon D30 with a 28-135IS lens. I still have it, and in fact, I just picked it up and fiddled with it the other day. It's amazing how huge the thing is compared to my K30.

My first SLR was left on a bus. An elderly person needed serious help to get off the bus, but in doing so I forgot my camera. Help others, but mind your own business first. A tough lesson.

A Honeywell H1a plus an Auto-Takumar 1.8/55 from the mid-'60's are the oldest of my originals still present. The body could use a CLA but both are still useable.

I still own my first camera, a Nikkormat FT3 (Nikon) from the late seventies. It was a gift I got from a friend of my mother when I was about 13-14 y/o. It came with a 50mm f/2 Nikkor lens. I basically got into photography with this camera because I loved the thing so much as an object, it had a huge signification for me. My parents didn't have a lot of money when I was young, so for me to own such an amazing piece of equipment was great. It followed me all my life, through art school where I followed a few photography classes, learned to develop film, on my travels, through my air force days (shot a lot of aircrafts with this camera). I've stopped using this camera around year 2000. Digital is so much more practical, but I do miss the ease of use of my good old pal and the quality of film photography. Maybe I'll get back to it some day.

I'm revisiting my answer. Pentax gear is what got me into serious and real photogrpahy, but my first ever camera was a Bazooka joe film camera with a fixed plastic lens that I traded for about a hundred Bazooka Joe jokes. Still have it.

I had to sell off my first SLR, a Miranda Sensorex ll, when I was out of work back in1975. As soon as I got back working again a few months later, I bought a Pentax SP 1000 with a 55/2 SMC Takumar. I still have it. The camera still works but I haven't used it in years. The old lens is still working. I used it for the Single in March challenge back in 2011. The album is still in the forum albums. My collection of gear has grown through the years. What I no longer have has been passed down to my kids. It's still in the family.

I still do not know what became of my Ricoh KR-10 (an awesome camera). I sold the last of my old manual primes (Sigma 24/2.8, Kiron 28/2.0) last year, and threw the zooms in the bin.
I am the exact opposite, I have , like the posts below, everything I ever bought.

In film that is a Ricoh XR-2s, a KX a PZ1, and in digital, an *istD, K10D, K7D and K5D, plus a Pentax ei200 P&S, a Kodak DX9750, a Nikon 810 and now a Q.

Along the way, 52 lenses from screw mount to sigma EX and Tamron XRdi F2.8 zooms

I can quite easily outfit somebody with M42 and K mount lens kits form 16mm through 300mm in M42 primes and from 8mm through 400mm k mount primes, a third person with a 70-210 and 200-500 MF zooms and a 4th with high quality AF zooms and TCs to cover the range 10mm through 400mm, that's 4 complete shooters outfitted with functioning systems in digital. This does not count the P&S

How do you spell LBA and CBA

Absolutely everything.

I still have my old A-1, and OM-2s, because I am a hoarder. The OM-2s light seals are still good. I know I could use the lenses on an NEX but I don't have a large enough collection of lenses in a single mount to warrant the cost of an adapter, and I don't want to buy two adapters. Especially when I can just reach into my pile o' Pentax gear.

The old cameras are good to pick up once in a while and fondle.
