Just thought I would share the news. Just got another for myself.

BTW, the highly regarded SRB Griturn adaptors are only $28.87:

These appeared at the same time as they did in stock at Adorama and Samy's Camera. And just a week or two after B&H announced them as discontinued. Obviously they aren't moving much at $49.95. At least the shipping is free now.

Yeah, i didn't like the price at all, but i had a credit for half of it, so why not. Also, since I had only one adapter and 10-15 M42 lenses, it became a bit of a nuisance to have to change the adapter every time i change lenses.

You can leave a good adapter on the camera.
It's the cheap ones that work best attached to the lenses.

Right, once it is installed there is no need to remove it to mount another screwmount lens. Of course if you have more than one camera body you may want additional adapters.

These two vendor's websites claim to have the adapters in stock - but with shipping you'll pay about the same or even more as with B&H.
