OK this is probably something that I should know but dont how do you use a lens without an autofocus? Have the K100d and every lens I own has the A on the aperature ring have seen some glass in the market place that doesnt have the A mostly M or K lenses and I have no idea how to use them on the camera? I assume you have to be in manual but can the flywheel be used to set apeture or do you have to manually twist the ring on the lens? focusing isnt much of a problem since I sometime use manual focusing but am unsure about the aperature control. Sorry for the rambling and you can get up off the floor now from the laughing fit as well

K = M = move aperture ring manually to set aperture, M mode and A/E Lock button for light metering, manual focus

A = aperture is adjustable with the body, Av mode, Tv mode, M mode... manual focus

thanks that is a very helpful tutorial its not as bad as i thought now i dont feel as scared as i was of fully manual lenses will have to start looking at them more .
