DA40 hood on FA35, possible?

Hi All,
I'm curious if anyone has tried the DA 40 limited hood on an FA 35?
if so, you see any vignetting issues?

Interesting question, I hope someone who has both does a test. Will you use it on APS-C or on film?

Edit: I just did some google searching for this topic and found out that a lot of people with Fuji cameras apparently buy the Pentax 40mm hood.. itneresting..

on APS-C, with DA 35/2.4 there is a fall off of 1/2 EV on the two tiers of the frame on the left and right side.

thanks Aurele, that's helpful. Knowing that it won't do well on DA53/2.4, I might have to abandon the idea of using it on my FA35.
but if anyone has tested the DA40 limited hood on FA35, and it some how no vignetting issues, please let me know.

Hi pakinjapan, I own the DA40 ltd and the FA35 1:2. I took a picture using the FA35 with and without the hood. Can you tell which one is which?

GPZ, thank you a lot!
Color in the top left of both images look a bit difference, and it is all I can see, I guess the first image is using the hood?
Vignetting doesn't seem to be an issues in both image. It looks like I can give DA40 ltd a go.

I am looking for an alternative hood options for FA35. it looks like the DA40ltd hood is the most interesting concept and most compact I can find. I am keen to get one at this point.
GPZ, May I ask two more questions if you don't mind.
1. When put DA40ltd hood on a FA35, Does it make FA35 looks some kind of funny or even stupid? (hope not!)
2. Does FA35 default hood and DA40ltd hood show differences in term of image quality and color rendition?
(well, if it doesn't make FA35 looks stupid, I guess I can test the image quality by my self after I get the hood.)

GPZ, according to EXIF both of those were taken with 35mm lens? And at f4.5 instead of wide open (a hood that is too tight will have the biggest effect when the lens aperture is wide open)

Yeah, sorry, so I did it again at f2 with the regular hood vs. the DA Ltd hood. This time you can see some vignetting with the DA Ltd...

I think it looks great, even if I'm not sure you'll gain anything in IQ.
