dont know about the weight. It fits my k5 perfect. It is a rare lens to find, Mightymike had one (or has one, contact him) for sale for 125 $ canadian.

Thanks, I actually bought the 55-300 that stormtech had up for sale last night.

Good for you. Excellent lens from a known and reliable seller - perfect. You will enjoy the 55-300 because its light, small, and has very solid performance. I find myself choosing it over the 70-200/2.8 on occasion for those reasons.
