Use of M42 lenses

I 've recently purchased three sparkling but very sheep M42 takumars, one IFOCO and a M42/K-adapter:

I paid € 15 or about $ 9.66 for this set ():
smc Super Takumar 28mm F3.5 + case + 2 caps
smc Super Takumar 135mm F2.5 + case + 2 caps
smc Super Takumar 150mm F4 + 2 caps
IFOCO Auto 28mm F2.8 + 2 caps (Ø 55)
and € 21 or $ 32 for a genuine Pentax M21/K-adapter!!!

The first three have a manual-auto 'switch'. Does anybody know if it's possible to operate the apture in 'auto' on a K10D?

Anyway, all hints and tips are welcome!
Frederik

Well first of all, that 2.5 135MM is worth quite a lot all by itself! Good buy! I saw one go for about 180 recently on feebay I think.

You have to set it to manual and meter the shot. (I honestly get 80% great results wide open in auto picture mode). I have the 135 2.5 SMC and a SMC 17mm fisheye and both work pretty well on auto. Of course I also have to use Av mode and adjust for certain lighting. This is my limited minimal knowledge on m42 shooting.

wow ... what a deal :| ... i'd feel guilty for getting lenses so cheap
the Auto switch doesn't work ... you must manually stop down and meter in Manual by pressing the AE-L button

Can I please kill you and take your 28?

You could sell them here in Romania for about 70 euros a pop.
