Nope, means you have to get all 3!
Hahaha! Evil you...

Well, nope.. I'm not tempted by the 43/1.9... I'm still young enough for manual focus..

Cheeky fecker!

If you just want a MF 50, the best two of the set we looked at are either the A50 f/1.2 or the Carl Zeiss Planar-Makro f/2.
The CZ wins on overall usability, build quality, sharpness across frame, tone, rendering, micro contrast
The A50 f/1.2 scores points on relative small size and weight :-), the ability to get up to F/1.2, bokeh wide open.

It has to be said though that they are very different animals in nature. One is built for resolution, the other for speed.

And THOSE are the reasons why i said i would have to have both if i wanted the best of both worlds....

But kudos to you guys! Amazingly done up!

Glad you enjoyed it.
2 of my favorite shots from the CZ and A

Sunbathing (Carl Zeiss T* 2/50 Makro-Planar, ISO80, f/2, 1/1600s)

Floating (A50 f/1.2, ISO80, f/1.2, 1/6400s)

Thanks for your nice comments.

I vote for the FA 43 Limited and do indeed use it manual focus stylee, since that's the way I swing. Size and rendering win out for me.

All K-5 shots now uploaded here. All can be seen in original size. I'm in the process of making contact sheets for each lens and all equivalent apertures.
