Soligor manual focus zoom lens

I own a Pentax Kr and a K200D. I recently found a older Soligor manual focus zoom lens at a swap meet that fits Pentax. However, I tried to mount it on both cameras with no luck! Is there a adapter I need to buy in order to use this lens?
The lens looks new and was well taken care of. The lens is 28- 200 mm f3.5 - 22 and has this on the lens mount: P/K -A R- P/K Any ideas??

The R-P/K marking indicates that it could have the Ricoh pin that can cause the lens to get stuck on the camera, but that won't cause it not to mount.

There is likely an oversized aperture lever shield blocking it from being mounted on the camera, this interferes with the PZ/SDM contacts on the newer bodies.

Soligor lenses frequently have an extended "shield" for the aperture arm on the mount. The shield bumps into the body of the camera around the SDM contacts and prevents it from mounting. I have two like that - I cut away the extra shield, and they work fine. (Removed metal marked red in the photo - Pentax M on left, modified Soligor on right)

To alter the mount:
1) Remove mount plate from lens (probably just four screws)
2) Cut away excess shield with Dremel cutting wheel (marked in red)
3) Be sure to remove all dust
4) Reinstall mount plate on lens
5) Blacken any bright metal with a Sharpie pen to prevent reflections.

Thanx to THoog for your help with my Soligor zoom lens. I did what you suggested and I removed the excess shield from the mount plate and now the lens mounts perfectly!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you again.
