DA 12-24 sample image

This image was taken almost into the sun, and shows why I find this lens to be very good indeed. About 10 minutes from home.

Exported to jpeg from Lightroom with no Post Processing. I am having trouble uploading jpegs with EXIF data intact.
1/250 @ f/6.7 - Program Mode
ISO 100
DA 12-24 @ 12 mm

Looks VERY good to me. If these were a tiny bit less expensive, I would definitely consider spending my upcoming tax rebate on it, lol

I believe if you send an image bigger then 800 pixels the system will take the file resize it to the biggest side of 800 pixels and then create a new file that is use to send when you look at the image on your browser. When the new file is created and saved the EXIF data is lost.

Very nice, Albert. One of the things that appeals to me about this lens is its good geometry at the wide end. That's very evident in your shot.

Excellent. The 12-24mm is high on my list for a future purchase.

Actually, the image was uploaded from my hard drive after a resized export out of Lightroom. I have not yet figured it out. It's probably some setting in LR hidden 83 layers deep in a custom menu. If you folks want to see the EXIF, it's available on the original size uploads on my Flickr site - in my signature.

Thanks, everyone, for the compliments - it is really hard to take a bad picture of where I am lucky enough to live.

I agree, Pentax should have a 200 $ rebate on it, and soon
