So rare there are no samples on PF....

When I saw it on the shop display, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.
Did Pentax even have a 100mm f2? or was it 100mm f2.8 and my eyes were tired....
Its so rare that the very comprehensive sites like here, bdimitrov, MFforums, etc did not have samples.
Not even with a google seach.

I just could not pass it up and paid for it.

Managed to try out the lens today with the kids during the usual park walk.
I think I'm blown away........

Super Takumar 100/2

Those are awesome! Do you mind my asking what something like that costs? Really cool regardless!

Ooh, nice find and nice (cooperative?) subjects!

Interesting bokeh and out-of-focus highlights, especially the last one. It seems you have a nice portrait lens in your arsenal now.

The shots look promising! Close ups of the lens please. And how much did you get that for?

Wow, I've heard of this lens (which had very, very limited production, perhaps only a protoype run; I can't think of a rarer Pentax lens save maybe the M35/1.4), but as you say have never seen any samples taken with it. Thanks for sharing; it looks pretty good (you always have excellent shots, so it can be harder to tell), and I hope you put it through its paces some more and share the results.

Wow, those must be some of the nicest "tried the lens out on a walk today" pictures I've seen. Great find. Thanks for sharing....

It really makes you wonder though, there were a lot of Pentax's sold and a lot of people had decent lens collections, so where are those old lenses?

In RioRico's house?
What's happened to him anyway? He hasn't posted anything in months...

I occasionally see that he peeks in from time to time, but does not post. I miss his wit and wisdom.... and his lens knowledge!

It looks like he has been MIA for about a year...

Awesome, this is super cool!

5 elements in 5 groups, says the "uncertain" PF database entry...would be interested to see a lens diagram.
