Someone got a deal on Pentax lenses

Various Lenses - Nikon, Canon & Pentax

Offer was for 3 SMC Pentax F lenses at 28mm, 50mm, and 135mm, all for a total of $25.

By the time I called, they were already sold. Anyone here get them?

The ad says $725. Still an insane deal, if I had Canon and Nikon bodies. It's worth it just for the 24mm T/S.

The 3 Pentax lenses were just $25. They are marked as sold now in the ad. The whole package of Canon/Nikon/Pentax lenses was $725.

I thought you had forgotten a 7 there. Sorry. I wasn't even looking at the Pentax lenses!

The Lens Reviews section puts the value of these lenses at:

F 28mm = $215
F 50mm f/1.7 = $150 (or it could be the f/1.4 = $300)
F 135mm = $349

Grand total = $714!!! If the 50mm is the 1.4 version, $864!!!

That's a 97% discount! Will the winner please step forward? I think @Docrwm has something to say to you.

wow, I wish I had seen this. I don't usually check craigslist for my lens buying needs. I would have jumped into my car immediately and driven the 40 minutes up to Silver Spring to grab these three lenses!

Lens review pricing is outdated.

F 28mm = $220 - 300
F 50mm = $150 - 200
F 135mm = last one I saw went for over $600; really wanted it but just too much money

I hope whoever got them appreciates them and gives them a good home.

The seller could have gotten so much more $$ for the Pentax F lenses. It boggles the mind!

Agreed, especially with full frame rumors, the prices of any Pentax full-frame lens have been ticking upwards, and the F series are fairly rare. I definitely paid more than $215 for my F 28mm! worth every penny too!

Thanks for the info. I was just doing a quick n' dirty "by the numbers." I honestly didn't know the F 135mm existed before this.

F-series lenses in general are difficult to find. Maybe that's why the seller didn't bother pricing them; he just took a quick peek on eBay, couldn't find them, and just said, "meh, looks like $25 to me." It's amazing how cavalier some people are about selling their stuff.

Make sure you don't look at this thread.

Don't worry, most of us are just as unlucky as you. I thought I got lucky on a Goodwill find yesterday, but it wasn't such a great deal after all:
