For macro photography, the Sigma 17-70 and Pentax 50/2.8...

I felt good, knowing that I actually have one of the 17-70s. Here are a few pics I took just this morning with it.

I agree Heather, the Sigma 17-70 is truly a great lens to have in ones kit. Very versatile.
Love it for Macro photography, only thing, I find, is that for some shots it requires getting VERY close to subjects.
I dont like to be on such intimitate terms with some insects, e.g. spiders
A great lens to leave on the camera most of the time, IMHO.
