If I'm not mistaken, there should have been a hood included.

Hm, I purchased used lens, in mint condition, with both caps, but there is no hood. Is it possible to get one?

You could use an inexpensive collapsible rubber hood - find one that fits your filter size. Something similar to this: 52mm 3 in 1 Lens Hood 3 Stage Collapsible Rubber Camera Lens Hood | eBay

Thanks paulh. That will fit for my lens, because Sigma is 58?

No, you have to find a 58mm filter hood.

I used to have a DL super, and this hood looks exactly like it.

I've just checked Sigma's non-os 70-300 DG and APO DG, both take 58mm filters. I had a hunch that was the case, since your lens reminded me of those so much. I'm pretty sure their hoods match, they look identical.

Because it is a bayonet mounted hood, not a threaded one. It is measured off the outside of the lens barrel.
