Actually, the resolution starts to improve again
beyond 15mm as you move out to the edge of FF.

I'm working on a review of the lens,
and will post the MTF curves there when it's ready.
Interesting characteristic! I look forward to your lens review.

I purchased last month on ebay a FA 20mm and I really love the lens, I had the same size lens in a Nikkor and the pintax to me is sharper. I did pay
about $450.00 for mine and I see them go over $600.00, but like the A there hard to get but there worth it.

People might be speculating on Pentax FF and they are getting their lenses early

I was fortunate enough to get the M 20/4 for a good price. On digital, it's alright, but the constant need for colour correction is a bit of a bother. On film, however, it is a very exciting lens. I'd echo other thoughts in the thread, however: get a 21/3.2 if you aren't worried too much about full frame.

I have the 20/4 in K and M series. I paid around $220 for each couple years ago - no hood. I must have been really lucky then.

Full disclosure: I shoot film exclusively, so I don't use crop sensors or anything like that. I would certainly buy a full frame Pentax if they were to come out with one, but that's about the only thing that would make me want to go 100% digital again.

I don't want to get away from the topic, though, so here's a question. How much would you pay for the A20mmƒ/2.8?

I love the colours rendered by the M20/4. That's really why I bought it as that's how it differentiates itself.

Go back to the OP question, I would never pay it more than the price of the DA21.

Fair enough! I would be comfortable with 350-400 if the lens were in good shape and I really wanted the wideangle.

I love my "Good Lady" to bits, quite recently I paid about $450 for mine and for the original hood another $90. I use it almost exclusively now for all my street work, my "Mistress" the SMC Pentax-A 15mm F3.5 now gets left behind.

If you're like me, using aperture controlling body film slr (Super Program, Z1p), I would pay up to $500 for a good A 20mm f2.8. If it is more than that, I rather buy FA 20mm. Anyway, Pentax's legacy lenses are good investment, not only in Pentaxland but outside (Canon, NEX system). Good luck
