K5 II - Check FA77 - Check FA31 - Check: Now should I keep my 16-50 2.8

Well the title of the thread says it all.

Now that I have gotten the 2 FA primes that will give me supernatural photographic powers , do I really need to keep my 16-50 2.8? The only thing it gives me is wide angle other than that I can do everything with my 2 primes.

What do ya'll think?

Get the FA43. Keep the 16-50 for versatility.

And just an added security to cover the range, get the DA 55-300, while saving for the DA*60-250.

That should keep you busy for a while.

I almost forgot, you need a WA, get the 15

Do you like going out in the rain? Going to waterparks? Having water fights? Do you occasionally run into ninja sprinklers?

I wouldn't mind keeping the 16-50 with the FA31 and FA77 unless I was really strapped on cash and needed to sell something. It's nice having a WR walkaround lens, and the 16-50 can be pretty nice.

Sell it and get a 15 Ltd? Not really worth it. Just as zooms don't replace primes, primes don't replace zooms... if you have a good working copy, I'd say keep it. If I owned one I would...

If the kind of photography you do allows you to use both primes and you don't need weather resistance then I see nothing wrong in letting go the 16-50. In my case, I really can't let go the 16-50 or other zooms I have, I need that zoom flexibility and the DA* zooms give me that with good quality glass and weather resistance.
I'm slowly getting into primes but mostly for personal enjoyment and not to use them in paid work. I would like to own those 2 FA's you have, in silver to match my K-5 Silver! Enjoy them!

Yes, WR is nice to have. Water Parks! Yeah! Taking the kids to the water park! That's how I'll justify keeping this lens to my wife!

Taking the kids to a water park with only a 16-50 will be very limiting. You'll need a longer reach.

Cough! 18-135! Cough!

I'll trade my 15 Ltd for the 16-50!
