Lens Envy

Out of all the lenses available from the other manufacturers, which one(s) do you wish was available for K Mount?

For me, it's always been the Canon 85mm f1.2, that lens is a beast

also to my list is the soon-to-be released Zeiss 55mm f1.4

Nikkor 200mm f/2, which I last saw Joe McNally (on the Strobist Flash Bus Tour) pull amazing images from... at f/2!
But carrying that thing around isn't enviable...

Always had a hankering for the Leica 50mm Noctilux-M f/0.95 ASPH (6-bit).

Two lenses come to mind.

1. I'd love to see the Tokina 11-16 in a K-mount.
2. I think a 200-400 something would be very nice as well.

OTOH, if Pentax would make a 70-200 f2.8 that would be very very nice too.

the sigma 120-300 f2.8

world class images and coupled with TCs would give you a 420 f4 and a 600 f6.3

The Zeiss/NASA f/0.7 lenses Kubrick used to film Barry Lyndon. If I start saving now, I can at least rent them:

Yes! I would love something under 15mm that can go faster than F3.5. That would allow for some sweet starscape shots.

Yes....the F 2.8 70-200 would be fine....also a reasonably priced lens similar to the Canon L F 5.6 400 mm.

Oh man, yes! The 50mm f0.95 is a thing of beauty.

Would love to see some comparison shots between that and the Zeiss 55mm

The Leica would definitely have better DOF, but what about contrast and color rendition.

I had it for a weekend, it was not that bad to hand hold. Cannot say I used it much though, it was given to me in a failed attempt to take my mind off the passing away of my dog on the Friday.

There are enough Pentax lenses to be on my wish list for me not to lust after other brands

But then I get to borrow occassionaly some of the expensive Nikon lenses like the 300 2.8 or the 200-400 4.0.

At f/2.8, Samyang already have a 14mm in K-mount,
and should soon have a 10mm:
