Originally posted by Ace I hike often and usually shoot landscapes so having a versatile weather resistant lens seems like a good start. I am looking for a suggestion for a good lens, prime or zoom, that is around the 200mm plus range.
If you're shooting landscape, I'd recommend the M200/4.
It's light, should be better to the edge of the frame than a mid-range zoom,
and cheap enough not to worry about if it doesn't work out for you,
or if it gets ruined in a major weather event.
For landscape, the lack of AF shouldn't be an issue
(and can be finagled by catch-in-focus if necessary).
