white pentax DAL 50-200mm lens

hi, I have seen this lens once on a package deal on ebay. Does anyone know if/where this exists? I am desperately trying to find one.

Yes, it does exist.

It came bundled with the white K-x/K-r DSLR (like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pentax-White-K-x-Bundle-18-55-50-200-Lens-/161081438...item258133b266) , not sure if it was ever sold separately. If you're looking for just the lens, your best bet would be to post a "Wanted" listing here on the forums or check around eBay/Amazon/KEH to see if anyone has it without the bundle.

I believe the white one is still in production & available in this K-50 bundle:

Pentax K-50 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and10950 B&H

So the good news is they probably won't be hard to find used.

thanks, yeah I am watching the ebay one, and it has jumped from $100 yesterday to $400 plus today with still a daly plus left. i was going to but the it and just resell the other body/lens, but its going to still go up I feel.

I posted in the wanted. Hopefully someone will be upgrading! thanks!

Isn't only the 18-55mm from this kit white? It isn't mentioned anywhere and the photo shows a black one... but it also says that the 50-200 is the WR, which the photo shows the old DAL/non WR version.

The white DAL50-200 was sold with the limited color (white) Km as a kit.
It is a real "limited" version because the white Km was sold in limited quantity.

Keep an eye on KEH they have them occasionally. I bought one from them for my daughter in law to complete her white k-x kit.

A couple years ago when I had a white K-x, I put a wanted ad here plus did extensive searching for that elusive white 50-200 - no luck.

Your best bet would be to try to find a camera kit that has the lens included - will still be hard to find though.......

Pixxie, it looks like KEH has two of the white 50-200 lenses for sale. Look under pentax digital zoom lenses.
