M100 vs A100 f2.8 (Non-macro) - same lens optically?

Just wondering, do M100 and A100 f2.8 (both non-macro) are the same lenses optically? I know about the 'A' difference.

I already have M100/f2.8 and someone offered me A100/f2.8 and hence was wondering. I am using it with NEX so 'A' really doesn't matter to me.
