LensRentals.com vs BorrowLenses.com

Does anybody have any experience with these two outfits? Their prices are virtually identical, so I was wondering if one was preferable to the other...

Had never heard of BorrowLenses.com but their site indicates they only have 5 Pentax lenses. LensRentals.com has 18 lenses for rent.

CameraLensRental.com - Your online source for lens rentals and camera rentals

I've used these guys and can speak highly of their service and selection.

I have used lens rentals and had good service. They are based in Tennessee, so depending on how close you live to there, that might make a difference (I think borrow lenses has more locations).

Boatloads cheaper than the two I mentioned to boot! Thanks for the tip.

Maybe not cheaper once you factor in the insurance - which you probably want.
Still, it's a great way to test drive the expensive lenses.

Wow, perfect timing for this thread. I'm looking to rent a bigma in September and this info really helps.

Lensrentals.com 7-day rental of DA 15 Limited with damage waiver: $54

CameraLensRentals.com of the same item with damage waiver: $39

Shipping is $4 more for the latter, but it's still $11 cheaper.

Nice.

Get in line for those Bigmas, they're often rented.

I have used Borrowlenses a couple of times because they are based close by, so I can pick up and drop off the lenses conveniently. I have not had any issues of any kind.

Also - they have at last count 16 pentax lenses listed on their website including many (but not all) of the ltd lenses and da* lenses. They also have several cameras.

They have their site indexed oddly and when I choose another path I did get 15 lenses. Here is the link that take you to the entire selection of Pentax Mount Lenses:

I have recently rented from both lensrental.com and cameralensrental.com. Both were similar experiences; both were useful, easy to use, and helpful. I can recommend both. Different sites can have somewhat different equipment and pricing, so certainly shop around.

This is the only one I've used and I was very impressed, they make it easy and the Bigma I rented was very good. The shipment came a day earlier than expected, and I was actually in the woods testing the lens out when they called me to make sure it arrived OK.
