Need Lens Profiling help for LR3

Tokina is not a choice in the Lightroom 3 Lens Profile Custom menu. LR3 is reading the Tokina AT-X PRO SV 28-70, 2.8 lens as Pentax 28-80, 2.8-4. When shooting at 28mm, it is reading it as 33m. What all can I do in Lightroom to get a more accurate edit???

Started out with this lens in about 2004 on a Pentax *ist-D. Have used it on many different Pentax D-SLRs. It is currently on a Pentax K-5.

You can use the Adobe Lens Profile Creator (free download from Adobe) and build a profile for you lens. You can load that profile in Lightroom to do lens corrections.

I've built a custom lens profile using the Adobe Lens Profile Creator tool. While it is not technically difficult, it is tedious and takes attention to detail. There is a database of user-submitted profiles on the Adobe site. I'd also recommend you upgrade LR to version 4 as the improvements are very significant. You will also have a larger set of lens profiles to choose from, though I doubt that the Tokina is included.

I'd think about going all the way up to Lightroom 5, there's some fairly nifty mods over Lightroom 4 to be had.

LR 5 has some nasty bugs that I have linked to information about in another section. The newest RC has addressed one major one, but the poor QC has kept me at version 4.
