Free SDM Repair Service

I am a computer engineering student, part-time computer support.
My DA*16-50 had an SDM jam, and I was able to get into it and repair it today.

Actually it is not a very big problem, just a fail design, the motor gradually tighten up a screw on the motor and jam it. If the motor is Okay (You can hear the motor working), I think I am able to repair it. Also, if you have hunting, slow focus problem, I might able to fix it.

I am willing to fix people's lens for free, well, for a short term. It's not totally free since you have to pay both shipping. I can't guaranty I can fix the lens and I am not responsible to any damage to lens in the repairing process. I will try my best.

I might charge some money to fix lens after while, but I am doing for free at present to see if things works out. Also I am only doing DA*16-50 since I don't have experience on other lens, if you dare to be my experiment subject, we can talk about that.

Please send PM to me about this. I can answer your question if you are worried that you won't get your lens back.

Your business plan might need some work, considering that this fix has been known for ages... However, there are probably some who dare not venture into expensive lenses. (like me )

I think few people would send a $1,400 lens to some student in some far away foreign country to plink around with. What happens if you break it? Oooops....so sorry, You're out $1,400 dollars. Plus shipping

LOL. Iowan's don't consider California as part of these United States. We think of them as the land of "Fruits and Nuts".

Don't worry. The state will go bankrupt soon and we'll end up as part of China when they decide they want us to pay back our loans.
