If the 85mm performs at least a bit better than Helios, I'm tempted.

The reason I say it's not de-clicked is that I see no mentions that it is.

here's probably some of the best info you can find on these lenses

Manual Lenses Malaysia : Mitakon 85mm f2.0 ( Hybrid Technology )
Essential Studio Equipment : Mitakon 135mm f2.8 ( Hybrid Technology )
EDIT
Okay, now I'm really tempted
At more than half (?) of Viv/Bower/Samyang 85/1.4 and better sharpness than Helios I suppose there no better alternative..

I know it says "mute" aperture, but no where else says anything about optimized for video, or de-clicked. This was not mentioned in malaysia or chinese photo forums nor on manufacturer's website (if you read chinese).

http://www.syzygx.com/

I figure for something as important as being "de-clicked", it would have been mentioned up front by people who have used it.

Well, it's closer to translate 'mute' into 'declicked' than into something else..

Language and translation issues for a Chinese company. No one has used it yet, it's a brand new model. You said you bought one but haven't received it yet.

Like the ur-Planar design from 1896.

Hmm... judging from the sample images provided, i believe it wouldn't be pixel sharp, just sharp enough for an overall look, or perhaps even stand up to the Pentax M50/1.7..

But then again, not too sure if the samples are all shot wide open or stopped down.

Nevertheless, i am SO drawn to the silver look, as to our FA spoilt brats.. LoL!

Do revert on the results if possible...

I find sharp lenses to be, well, not that useful for portraits.. more post-processing to be done

Haha! Well, i guess there's always 2 sides to the coin. Some prefer it to be sharp as it is easier to soften in post, whereas some prefers it to be softer, then sharpen later(which seems to be harder)...

But yea, to me, being sharper than the kit lens overall is good enough..

..or leave it soft, so no more work to be done

Well, it's off course a full manual lens,
...and no "A" setting! That is no surprise since there is no aperture coupling to the camera (ditto for the 35/1.9). The iris diaphragm is fully manual. Very old school and sort of unique for K-mount. Both the aperture and focus rings look like they might engage a jig for focus/aperture pull. It looks like this lens is definitely targeted for video.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is the case. The lens gear for focus / aperture pulling is a standardized thing. although the notches on the lens resembles the standard gear, I think the resemblance is superficial. I own a lot of lens gears.

The device "jig" you are referring to is called a "follow focus," fyi.

There is a review in Chinese.

http://qicai.fengniao.com/335/3354639.html

It's not very sharp wide opened but I do like the colour rendering.
