I'd like to know if, upon mounting a regular (not thin) circular polarizer to the front of this lens if you can be zoomed out at 16 mm and not have any vignetting due to the filter? Why I ask is because I can't go wider than 14 mm on my DA 12-24 with this filter mounted and I don't want the same thing happening with the 16-50, i.e. being able to go no wider than 18 mm, for example. FYI, the non-threaded portion of the filter thickness is 8.5 mm.

No problem, I have a "non-slim" cpl and works ok...

I have vignetting at 16mm with my non slim filter.

Oh well, worst-case scenario means I'll just have to buy a thin-ring CPL. Thanks for the replies.

I use Bresson 5mm, B+W KSM XS 4mm. and NiSi LR 4.5mm above threads. B+W on the 12-24, NiSi on the 16-50. No issues..
