Sigma 50-500 or Sigma 150-500?

To get a sense of the size here is a shot of me with the 150-500. I've got it on a monopod and I was shooting the America's Cup Race in San Francisco.

Was at a birding event yesterday and spotted this lucky guy with a 600mm, f4 Nikkor.
It was about the size of a rocket launcher!!
