3'rd party HSM/SDM lenses with K mount

Any news about 3rd party sonic-drived lenses?

I'm a real Pentax Fan...

But that makes me serious dilemmas
I bought my 3rd pentax (MX, *ist, K10D) this week, and I also sold my older lenses.
I'm really satisfied with the k10d, but choosing lens was difficult.

I think the k10d deserves for a good lens, but the DA*was too expensive for me, and I should have bought 2 pieces for USD 2400.- (used is far avay on e-bay, and nobody is selling such a good lens)
On the other hand I was enviously looking to my brother who is using Nikon, with the Nikon18-200 lens. He says, its a wontedful lens, and he is making only few compromises, protects the machine, and more comfortable.
Finally I bought the pentax 18-250, but I'm not really impressed with the AF performance and the noise is very laud.
I did not see any plan on pentax lens roadmap for any SDM drived 18-200 or 18-250.
Any expextable news for SDM lens from 3'rd party??

Sigma has announced the 70-200mm f/2.8, 50-150mm f/2.8, a something-400mm and somethingelse-500mm, and a 50mm f/1.4 HSM for Pentax. Who knows when they will actually be released.

and they won't be cheap.
current ETA for Sigma 70-200/2.8 HSM is late May, but you might as well pull a random month out of a hat...and don't get me started on Tamron's 70-200 and 10-24 which we'll be lucky to get by the end of the year w/o HSM support :-)

Not about a lens, but the Sigma's teleconverters supporting HSM for Pentax shall be available (in my country in the middle of Europe ) in June according to a local big photo dealer I suppose that they will be available sooner on the western side of the world. I hope he is right a TC is on my wish list for a long time, but I now want to wait for the version that will support HSM as well as I plan a HSM lens from Sigma in the future.

You can already pre-order them at Adorama for $800. While this might be a lot of money, it is actually cheap for the lens it is. Consider this: until a couple of months ago, the older Sigma version, without HSM, would sell on eBay for $900-1300. In a few weeks you'll be able to buy a new one, with HSM, warranty, money-back guarantee, etc. for $800.

And the Tamron will sell for $700, which is a great price, even if it doesn't have HSM.

The OP was saying that a DA* was too expensive....that's why I mentioned it won't be cheap for him

I think the Tamron/Sigma 70-200 will be a good deal considering the used Pentax 80-200/2.8 goes for $1600 on fleabay :-P
Nikon/Canon 70-200/2.8's also cost roughly $1500 new or $1200 used, though you can get older 80-200/2.8's for around $700.

Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 ~$1100
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS ~ $1600

So the Sigma is a GREAT/AMAZING/AWESOME deal at $800, AND it's stabilized on a Pentax body

My point exactly! Yes, $800 is a lot of money (and I won't be able to afford the Sigma for a long while), but it's cheap compared to the alternatives. Let's just start saving up now

Also, the Tamron 70-200 will work with k100 and k110's, the Sigma Sigma 70-200/2.8 HSM will not. By "work" I assume the autofocus.
