Digital Lens On A Film Slr

Can you use the pentax digi lenses on a film body thanks....

The answer is "Yes and No". It will mount, it will take the photo, but will probably vignette because the image circle is smaller than the film SLR image gate.

You can always try to experiment with DA lens on film body. As far as I know with zoom lenses not all focal lengths will result in vignetting. But I haven't tried it so I might be wrong.

some work and some don't ... i think there's a thread somewhere showing the DA40 and DA70 do work

DA70 - yes, I've personally verified this. 16-45/4 - yes, no vignetting till you get wider than about 22mm. This lens is simply fun on a film body.

Also, DA lenses do NOT have an aperture ring, so you will have some problems using them on older film bodies (such as the K1000). I think in that case, you can only shoot wide open.

DA* 16-50 looks like a circular fisheye lens it vignettes so badly. No Go.
