FA* 250-600mm F5.6 Lens Coat/Cover

For those with the FA* 250-600mm F5.6, or even the F version, what are you guys using to protect and cover the lens finish? Do you even cover the lens or use it in it's naked silver/white glory?

There doesn't seem to be an actual LensCoat product specific for the lens, so I'm looking around for ideas?

Long time ago, some guy from lens-coat posted here on PF and asked Pentax owners to send in their exotic glass for taking measurements. I guess that never got anywhere so they did not make them for Pentax.

Wildlife Watching Supplies run by Kevin Keatley, wildlife photographer - Neoprene lens and hood camouflage camera covers

I got one for my sigma 150-500, works very well. They have some Pentax lenses listed and say they will make one up for you. The cover consisted of a bunch of neoprene bands of various lengths and diameters.

Yeah, I came across that thread on my searches, and yeah, that never seem to get anywhere.

Thanks, I'm thinking I might have to make something similar up myself.

I just contacted them to see how much it would be to make one for my FA 300. $175! OUCH! Guess it's DIY for me.

Look at the "mega shoot cover" from "op tech usa" Very reasonably priced, full coverage even for inclement weather.
