How's the Pentax FA 28-200 f/3.5-5.6 as a walkaround lens on a dSLR? I don't do much landscape stuff, so I don't think I'd really miss the long end. What I would like basically is more reach for casual and candid shots... and I have the opportunity to get this very cheap ($60 with a film body for good measure!)

that's a fantastic price for that lens! i bought the tamron equivalent for $155 on this forum and it seems decent. autofocus is slow tho

there are very positive reviews on Fred Miranda's site

Thanks for the pointers, I'm glad to hear it! I guess it will be a "poor-man's 18-250" for me

Actually, for $60 (assuming I get it) he's offering the MZ-10 film body (a pretty nice one!) and this lens *and* the 28-80 kit lens. Hmmm, camera bag too! Though I don't think that last one is worth anything in this day and age... it's basically the 18-55mm kit lens without the crop factor

So it's a real good deal, hope I get it.
